Chicken Wontons
Add these fried chicken wontons to your thanksgiving menu (or any holiday or potluck)! π₯
These chicken wontons make the perfect appetizer! They are easy to assemble but do take a little time! Perfect to prepare while your turkey is cooking! My family is obsessed! π₯
I love keeping some of these uncooked in the freezer. Pop them in the air frier for a quick snack or appetizer!

How to assemble:
Lay the won ton wrappers in a single layer. Place 1 square of the marinated chicken in the center of the won ton wrapper.
Dab a small amount of marinade on each of the corners. Fold the won ton over the filling by bringing each of the corners to the center of the square, overlapping slightly, like a squared envelope.
Layer uncooked won tons using parchment paper and set aside.

AT THIS POINT WE CAN FREEZE THE WONTONS. If you are not making and freezing them ahead of time skip to step 9.
Take the wontons out of the freezer and let them come to room temperature. If thereβs a lot of condensation just pat them dry a bit before frying to prevent lots of splatter, and use a splatter guard if you have one. I like to use a deep pasta pot or dutch oven to fry.
Heat the oil in a large skillet until hot over medium heat, you need like 5 inches depth of oil.
Cook the wontons for about 2-3 minutes per side, turning once. They should be golden brown.
Serve immediately (but they are still delish at room temp) with the apricot dipping sauce and enjoy!! π₯
