Tamari Dressing

Since my trip to Montreal in July 2017, I’ve been dreaming (and salivating) about Mandy’s Salads tamari dressing.

I was immediately obsessed and had to recreate it at home ASAP! When I say this dressing is drinkable, I mean it…it’s that good! It might even be better than the real thing! Good thing I had a bag of salad in my fridge left from my TJ’s haul to have it on!

Ladies and gents…this is so freaking good! Get your straws, I mean forks out, and make this Tamari Dressing NOWWWWW! It does make quite a lot, and will last all week, so it’s perfect to put on your weekly meal plan!

Alright, let's talk about tamari dressing, shall we? It's the kind of dressing that you might overlook on a menu or in a grocery store aisle. But once you try it, you'll wonder where it's been all your life. It's that good.

Anyone who's tried it knows what I’m talking about. I just want to dip everything in it! I would bathe in it if I could! The best thing about the recipe is that all the ingredients get thrown in your blender and voila! DONEZO!

First things first, let's clarify what tamari is. Tamari is a type of soy sauce that's made with little to no wheat, which means it's gluten-free. It has a richer, smoother flavor than regular soy sauce, and it's a key ingredient in this dressing. You could definitely just use soy sauce too, if you can handle gluten. I always encourage my clients to use what they already have on hand!

So, what makes this dressing so special? Well, for starters, it is absolutely delicious. It's tangy, savory, and slightly sweet all at the same time. It has the perfect balance of flavors.

Just drizzle this dressing over your greens and toss. You don't even need any other toppings or ingredients. The dressing is flavorful enough on its own. It’s also great as a dipping sauce for your proteins!

Now, some of you might be thinking, "But I'm not a salad person." Don't worry, we've got you covered. This dressing is also fantastic as a marinade for tofu, chicken, or fish. Just let your protein of choice soak in the dressing for a few hours, then grill or bake it to perfection.

If you haven't tried tamari dressing yet, you're missing out. It's the kind of dressing that'll make you want to eat a salad every day. And who knows, you might even start drinking your dressings straight from the bottle. We won't judge.

Tired of throwing away unused groceries at the end of every week? Tired of having a fridge full of food but still not sure what to cook for dinner?
